Celebrating Peyton's Legacy

As I walked up the lantern lit path I started to get choked up...already. I never met this sweet young lady, but she sure has touched my heart.I was introduced to Liz, Peyton's mother, through Holly at Angel Wings. In 2010 Peyton was diagnosed with DIPG which is essentially a rare, inoperable tumor found in the brainstem. For over a year Peyton, her family, friends and doctors fought the tumor. On October 23, 2011 Peyton passed away but her memory has lived on.  It was an honor to be a part of this night, there was more joy than you could imagine as we celebrated her life and honored her passing. If you have even a moment, please go to Peyton's Ranch and support what they do.

It was dark when this next photo was taken, I couldn't read what her father had written on the lantern.  It wasn't until I got home that I realized what it said...

"I love you and miss you Peyton...Love Daddy."
