February Film | Personal Project

Film was a little harder this month.  Sickness hit our household and we found our weekends were full of shuffling, blowing noses and sitting on the couch.I've also had trouble with my camera and film. The last several roles I've gotten developed have returned very, very grainy.  Lighting was great, settings were great, ISO on the film was not particularly high and I used to get great results with the camera...I'm really stumped as to what's going on with it and I've started the search for an affordable film camera.  I'm just a little sad that my personal project seems to be running into roadblocks and I'm not that far into it.  As you can see there are a couple images that turned out with decent quality (very little grain) but most are barely salvageable.  I have to admit that I put some into Lightroom to address some of the grain issues, but it didn't seem to help much.My vision for some of the images for this post was to get some images of these cookies that I make (all the time  way too much).  There were several more images from the event, but they were really too grainy to be acceptable.  But I hope the ones that I did keep are enticing enough for you since I am including a PDF of the recipe for you to print at the end of the post :)Images below were shot with Nikon n60, Kodak Portra 400Click HERE for a printable version of the Cookie Recipe!
