Nick & Ashley | Tacoma

I met Ashley back in September 2011 when I ran a promotion in Living Social...Ashley was one of my brave clients (you can see her post here). It was then that I discovered that she was also a photographer and I immediatly got nervous!! But she was also a dream to work with because she didn't want the normal session, she was willing to experiment with light and posing and location.

This last winter, right after the Downton Abbey wedding episode aired, I made a silly comment about all the styled sessions that I was expecting to see based on the 1920's era. Ashley had the courage to push me forward (and out of my comfort zone) to actually put a styled shoot together. I'm glad she did as it was such an amazing (and exhausting) experience. Just a side note - there will be a full post about that styled session soon!!

The next time I had the chance to see Ashley it was to meet her husband Nick, we explored locations that were new to me, found the amazing light, and laughed (and laughed and laughed...). I can honestly say that since I've met Ashley, she had made me a better photographer. I've wanted to challenge myself to try new things with this craft. I'm just glad she was willing to trust me to continue to learn about who I am.

I've always tried to recognize the moments that I meet someone that changes my life, and my perspective, just a little. I don't even think she knows it, but Ashely has blessed me emmensely and I am very, very greatful for who she has been to me in this journey.2013-06-21_0014.jpg2013-06-21_0017.jpg2013-06-21_0002.jpg2013-06-21_0003.jpg2013-06-21_0004.jpg2013-06-21_0005.jpg2013-06-21_0013.jpg2013-06-21_0008.jpg2013-06-21_0006.jpg2013-06-21_0007.jpg2013-06-21_0009.jpg2013-06-21_0010.jpg2013-06-21_0011.jpg2013-06-21_0016.jpg2013-06-21_0012.jpg2013-06-21_0001.jpg
