Ottawa Family Adventures

Get ready for a complete overshare of this family.  When I told Gen that I wanted to photograph her family when I came to visit last Spring my only request was that we visit the gorgeous Ottawa trees (and that her family be full of snuggles). So I ordered my favorite film stock (portra 400 all day, everyday in case you were curious...), packed up my 35mm and hopped on the flight to Canada.My time with Gen and her family was so sweet...lots of time connecting and chatting. Gen showed me her city and all the wonderful places to eat and the coffee...ALL the coffee!!  It was a breathe of fresh air to just be present with a friend for longer than the normal 90 minute hang.  How often are we blessed with the gift of time with those dear to our heart? All too often we get the highlight real, just the things that are obvious.  But to have that time to really look at the heart is so needed, precious even.  And thats what we got.  Time to let our hair down a bit, relax into easy conversation over coffee (and, not gonna lie, a little bit of wine and junk food).A side note: Gen is a wonderful author and photographer in the Ottawa Canda area.  Here website is here**Nikon F100, Portra 400, the find lab**
