Stanley Family

Last week, when the weather here in Washington was crazy warm, Liza & I were stretched out on a blanket in her yard.  I looked up and saw the blue sky behind the evergreen tree.  Just behind that tree, on the front of their house is a porch.  I pointed up to it and said, "Hey Liza, can't you just imagine the kids up there talking on a summers night when they are teenagers".  Then I told her we could never move away from each other because these are memories that our children need to have together.

They have become family to me, Liza, Brandon and their children. The familiarity and friendship that I feel with them goes beyond what I think most people experience in their neighborhood.  I feel spoiled, and blessed, that this is my reality.
