Valencia Family | Tacoma
Kim and I started talking about dates for this family session back in NOVEMBER. It only took 6 months to make it happen...and even then it was questionable. I left my house and it was raining, both Kim and I believed against all hope that I would race to downtown Tacoma and beat the rain there. We moved quick, like a ninja in the night, to make sure we got fabulous images of her family before the first drop of rain fell.On a more serious note, Kim disclosed to me that this was the first time in 10 years that the family had made the time to take photos together. I am so honored to be able to be a small part of this family's journey in this way. A family, no matter how large or small, is full of moments that need to be captured. I don't care who you are or what kind of memory you have, the smiles and laughter of your children will breath new life into you during moments of darkness or fear. Even as children get older, squabble, begin that painful process of declaring their autonomy you NEED to have and hold those precious memories close to your heart. For all the good, bad and ugly, your family will always be your family.
