Happy 2014!! What an appropriate way to start out the new year with baby Vienne!

This was my first newborn family session done with film...and I'm in love. Every session I do now I think to myself..."how dreamy would this look on a roll of film?" I know many people prefer digital because you can take a million images, hoping that one or two turn out alright (and you get instant gratification). Shooting film is slow, methodical and intentional. We live in such a culture of excess, that many clients now believe that the more images the better. I don' t have that luxury with film ~ each frame I have the chance to tell a story. My hope is to do it right the first time.

One last note...recently I did a side by side comparison of the prints (film vs. digital) and let me tell you ~ FILM DESERVES TO BE PRINTED! The images were so much clearer, true to color. Don't let your photos sit on your computer screen. I promise you...they look SO much better on your wall.
