PHOTO JOURNAL
Most treasured moments are never captured by the camera or posted to social media platforms. They are often kept private and cherished collectively by the people experiencing the love. This journal is a small peek into a few treasured moments that I have been lucky enough to capture. It’s an amazing gift to share little bits and pieces of their hearts with you and an honor to have photographed them. I hope you take the time to explore this body of work and find inspiration of your own.

Brian & Jessica | Tacoma Spring Cherry Blossom Engagement Session
In 2023 I took on three weddings, all from friends and past clients who I’d had a relationship with previously. Getting the chance to honor their commitments to each other made these opportunities so much more meaningful to me. I don’t market myself as a wedding photographer, instead I focus on family relationships, but when I get to be included in the larger context of my clients story it feels so much more fulfilling to me. My interaction with clients is no longer just about the wedding day, it becomes more about how I can celebrate them in marriage. I get the opportunity to fit into the larger context of who these individuals are and THAT is what makes me happiest.
Gourley Family | An Elegant Celebration of 50 years in Tacoma
It was a joyous occasion celebrating Barry and Susan's 50th Anniversary, showcasing their enduring commitment surrounded by loved ones in a picturesque backyard setting with delicious food, drinks, and live music. The thoughtful touches, like Susan's preserved dress and wedding photos from 1973, alongside reuniting with their original wedding party, highlighted the rich history and legacy of their marriage, making it a memorable event to document and cherish within the community.
Alex & Natasha | A Point Defiance Anniversary Session
I feel very much like I’ve had the honor of seeing Natasha and Alex grow up and grow more confident in their love and affection for each other. This time around we got to talk about the direction their lives are taking, how they are furthering their careers and education. The sweet ways they have learned to support each other as they have learned to be husband and wife. And eventually start a family. I loved seeing a side of Alex protecting and caring for Natasha in all they do together. These two are just a joy to get the chance to work with, they are so grounded in their vision for their future. I hope to continue to tell their story as they walk through life's journey together.
